The Franklin system is not a basis in L^\infty[0, 1] ! I am not yet expert enough with EOM to fix it myself (it is an image, not text).

I did the fix on your behalf; please look. (I myself am not acquainted with Franklin system.)
Yes, regretfully, it is still an image; see Help:HowTo EoM#Re-encoding_of_old_pages.
