Definition

The citation Schroeder (2006) gives an different definition of quasi-metric [1]:

  • $d(x,y) \ge 0$ and $=0$ iff $x=y$ (positive definite);
  • $d(x,y) = d(y,x)$ (symmetric);
  • there is a constant $K \ge 1$ such that $d(x,y) \le K \max\{d(x,z),d(z,x)\}$.
